Monday...or another day off for me!

It's Monday...again. I'm still wondering when Monday is going to realize how much we all hate it and take a hike. I mean, geeez, take a hint already! 

I have been working on homework since yesterday and I promised myself I would finish it all before today soI could chill and recover from this cold before my week got started good. No such luck. Y'all know I have major procrastination issues and they live on. I did get some stuff done yesterday, but I was stuck finishing a paper this morning and I am just NOW wrapping it up. I will NOT be sad when school is done with!

I had an uneventful weekend. I talked with mystery boy a lot while he drove down and then once he got to his place. Gosh, I miss him and I just saw him Friday. Separation issues? 

He is getting settled and loving the new city so far. I am super jealous of course, because this city is borderline pathetic and there's nothing to do. I will report more on his new life when he gets settled! :)

Yesterday I was so bored and I had the biggest urge to just go "look" around at the mall. I fought it and did not go. I have put myself on spending restriction until Spring Break and yesterday I almost fell off the wagon, but I am happy to report I did not do it! Sad for no new shoes, happy that I have will power after all! 

Anybody see that halftime show last night? I must say that it was a little awful. I think Madonna needs to hang up the hat. Yes, she was an awesome singer/performer back in the day, but when one gets to a certain age, its just not cute to prance around the stage in front of millions of people, lip sing, and play the most awful songs you ever had (besides one).

I mean really, Madonna..where was "Like  a Virgin?" I was so looking forward to that song and not at all looking forward to that song hey mr. dj....

You looked like a mess and that outfit was sorta gothic like. I mean I don't mean to be a hater but I would have rather watched John Mayer perform and that's never good. 

Please hang up the hat and surrender the title to Lady Gaga. Seriously, you were the thing back in the day, but that was BACK IN THE DAY. 

I won't even charge you for that piece of advice. 

And Cee-lo Green? Really? No comment

Supa Bowl Sunday, y'all!

Since my beloved Denver Broncos didn't make it to the big game this year, I will be cheering for the Giants today! I really have no ties to either team and mainly am cheering for them because Tom Brady is like the John Mayer of football to me, so obvs I WILL NOT cheer for him!

(as I listen to John Mayer while typing this very post. What can I say, his music is ahmazing!)

I would love to be at the game, but since I doubt that I made enough to afford one ticket all year last year, I will enjoy it from the comfort of my own home. I was supposed to go to a party, but this sickness needs to get outta here and I will probably stay home to not spread it to my frandsss. 

I think I might just do a little homework this afternoon and catch up on some reading. Maybe do a little straightening up (since it has been neglected this week) and then cook some dinner in time to watch the game and pass out for a good nights sleep.

*assuming I feel back to my normal self tomorrow-fingers crossed*

Do y'all have big plans for the game today or just plans for sitting home and chillaxing with the fam?! I think either one is acceptable!

Moving day and other randomness you love to read!

So today is the day I have been dreading for about 3 weeks now. (not-so) mystery boy is moving today. We spent the afternoon/night together Thursday and then I had lunch with him yesterday because I had to work so all we could do was lunch. 

Basically Thursday was a a lazy day. I had one class that I couldn't miss because I had a stupid test. I'm never going to learn Spanish so I considered skipping, but I was responsible forced to go and went! I couldn't get home fast enough to spend time with him, only to find him asleep on the couch. He was so excited to hang out with me, obvs. Typical.

When he finally woke up we just had some quality hang out time watching TV, playing random games like guess who and monopoly because we are children at heart, duh. The night just went by too fast. 

As he was getting ready to leave, picture this: I am a nervous wreck, but surprisingly not as much as I thought I would be which was good. We've done the whole "good-bye" thing before and while it was rough at times, we made it back to where we are now and I know it will all be fine just like it was before. 

6 weeks until I see him again! It's not like he is going to war, right? He pointed that out and I felt all dumb because he was right. It could always be worse! But it still sucks a little tiny bit.

I was told specifically to focus on school and graduate and that everything would work out alright. So, for once, I am going to take that advice and focus on graduating and know that the situation will work out however it is supposed to in the end. 

I will be posting more lovely things now that I have this behind me. I have gotten so much love in the past few weeks from you all and I couldn't be more thankful and blessed. This little 'ole blog was just a whim of a thing that I started for fun and now it has turned into much more and I have made some great friends doing it! 

Speaking of friends, everyone do me a favor and head over and check out my good blogger friend, Heather at Chasing Butterflies! She is a wonderful, loyal blog friend of mine and she has been discouraged lately with the whole blog thing! I love reading her blog and I always know she will comment on my lame posts even if no one else does! I love her and I know you will too because she is simply fabulous! She's my blogger "soulmate." Just ask her about it and she will tell you all about our love affair! :)

She is super funny and she has the cutest place! Go over and show her some love, would ya?

In other news, raise your hand if you have heard me coughing in whatever state you currently reside in? A sickness has taken up residence in my body as of Wednesday. You know those creatures on the Mucinex commercials that are living inside that person's lungs? I think they rented a room in my lungs for the week now. Those people get around! 

I have coughed until I literally just sweat. Who knew coughing was such a work-out!? I woulda been making myself cough for a long time now if that was the case! I have been mildly drugged up since then. Every time I speak, I sound like a straight up man. No lie, y'all. Thank God for medicine. or I would be a hot hot mess. 

Anyways, duty calls so this manly girl is of to work! I hope you all have a glorious Saturday and get some relaxing down time! 

Don't forget the Superbowl is tomorrow!

It's Ok Thursday!

Raise your hand if you are excited that it's Thursday!? I would normally be superrrrr stoked about Thursday..any other week but this one, of course! Mystery boy leaves in just two days. Yikes. 

No need to worry! I am good. Ok, that's a lie, but I WILL be good in due time! 

Let's get on with it. You don't wanna hear the same ole stuff every day! It's Thursday and that means a little it's ok Thursday is in store for us! 

It's Ok....

that I have literally been listening to my John Mayer station on Pandora for two days straight. Let me explain. I used to despise John Mayer. I still think he kind of a douche bag, but his music is Ahhhmazing. I have heard everything from John Mayer to Michael Buble and everything in between. Love it!

that I have yet to buy a new TV remote and that I have been getting up to change the channels for about a month now. You can't say I'm lazy, but you can say I'm cheap. This girl is poor and a remote is a luxury I am willing to let go of in an effort to save moolah!

that I have been so anxious this week and for no good reason at all. I don't exactly know why, but it's been a rough week. School has owned me...again. It's ok because in about 3 months I will own that diploma and it's peace out GCSU!

that I can't remember the last time I had a pedicure. Ew. It only gets more and more gross every time I think about it. To do: get a pedi

that my hair has taken a backseat this week. My routine has gone a little something like this: wash it, let it air dry just a little, spray some curl spray in it, and let air dry and pray that it turns out somewhat OK looking and not in a pony tail. 

that as I am typing this, I am super hot, but I am too lazy and comfy to take off any article of clothing like socks, pj pants etc. Pathetic. 

that I haven't cooked a meal this entire week. It's been easy food for dinner and then homework all week. Next week I'll do better.

that I have blog envy and I want to redo my layout and get a cute button! Sucks to suck

that I can feel myself getting sick. All day yesterday at work I was sneezing and coughing and then when I got home it turned into that achy body feeling. No need to worry, y'all. I took nyquil and passed out. I need to kick it before it gets here to stay!

Holy cow. That means it's official- I will be an adult living in the real real world as of May 5, 2012. Scared, excited, nervous, anxious, worried, hopeful. All of these words and more describe how I feel about it.
