Guest Post Numero Dos-Welcome Lori!

Happy Tuesday Lovies! Today my good friend Lori has written a guest post for me. Tuesday's are super hectic for me so she has been a doll and helped me out for today's post! Check out her blog and show her some love! It's one of my favs that you should DEFINITELY be following! Enjoy!

Hello, lovelies! I am lori from a crazy walk on the safe side, and I am SO honored that Ashley has asked me to guest post on her blog today! {thanks, sista!} She is one of my very good {in real life} friends and I just love her! Obviously, ya’ll already know how awesome she is because you are here! {and don’t worry about her being sad when her ‘mystery guy’ moves away… I plan on kidnapping her and investing in some retail therapy and/or wine night!}

Just a little bit about me… I recently turned 25 {gasp! Where did the time go?!}… I have been married to the mister {who I lovingly refer to as ‘the hubs’} for about a year and a half… a few months ago, we moved to a new city  We are currently obsessed with hgtv and hope to buy a house in the next year or so. And Thanks to pinterest, I have some pretty high expectations of my dream home ;)

Which brings me to my post topic for today… I want to talk about ‘how to make your house a home’…

1. a welcoming front door

2. Personalized décor.

{like Ashley, I loveeee a good monogram. I put our names and/or initials on pretty much everything I can}

3. add personal touches.

(let the art and decorative touches in your house should show your style and personality!)

personally, my favorite is this 1940’s GE fan. My dad refinished it for me and painted it (my fave) aqua color!

{this is when it was in my old office… now it sits in the living room by the fireplace :)}

what a fun, affordable way to decorate! This definitely shows personality!

4. Add flowers and greenery

(I believe every room should have something living in it- or at least something that LOOKS like it’s living if you’re like me and do NOT have a green thumb)
