Life updates

No one faint, please. I am blogging for the second time in a week. That's a large improvement from my lack of blogging for a month at at time. I am trying and I promise that once my life slows down I will catch up on your lives...although twitter keeps me updated on most fo you!

Tomorrow marks the beginning of my birthday week. My 24 birthday week...eeek..

Here's the craziest thing ever- I have not really much of a desire to be married/engaged/knocked up right now (Who wouldn't want to drink whenever they wanted to..lets be serious. thats madness) yet living in the south makes one feel pressure to do all of those things.

Am I the only one who feels that way? ladies?

I know its just a southern things, but goh lee a girl just wants to live her life and have a little fun. However, if any of my fellow bloggers know a single white rich male...send a brotha my way. :)

So I guess the looming of my birthday just reminds me that I am 24 and not even in a relationship--and not even close. Like the gates are locked and I can't find the key. Not because I want it like that but hey, sometimes it just be like that. All the good ones are gay or taken right? Haha!

Anyways lovies, I have a big week coming up. not only is it my birthday on Wednesday, first thing Thursday morning I have to fly to NC for work until Saturday for sales meetings and all that boring stuff but then we are having our Christmas party and that means free booze so count me in. I can't get too cray cray because a sista is not trying to be on a plane the next day hungover and hard up (get that Eric Church reference?)

I am a little excited to go and see my work people because my job isn't normal and I don't see my co workers everyday like you all do. So I think it will be a nice outing and a good way to celebrate my bday since I won't be engaging in any of that foolery because its a week day and I'm an adult! Free booze, free dinner, free trip--happy birthday to me!

Be sure to watch the news Thursday nigth and make sure a plane crash didn't happen because it could be that I was on that plane and you will no longer be able to read my amazing blog posts! DRAMATIC MUCH??

Anyways----

How bout those Dawgs ladies and gents? I'd say they held their own pretty well against the defending champs huh? Even though they lost, I will still be a fan til the end. They played well this season and earned it all! GO DAWGS!!

Now, there are 3 teams I strongly dislike in this world. Alabama, the NE Patriots and the Pittsburg Steelers. There is no greater hate for these. I can't tell you which I hate more. #truth
So it should come as no surprise that I will be cheering for the Notre Dame fighting Irish in the BCS championship game. I don't care if bama is in the SEC. so, with that being said GO IRISH! Can't wait to see bama lose! hip hip hooray!

Sorry for the lack of pictures. This weekend wasn't one for the picture books people! I will do better and I will try my best to blog more. I am already doing better rightttt??

Have a great week and drink a few for me to celebrate my bday wherever you are! :)

GO BRONCOS!

Weekend fun and I need some advice...

Hello peoples! I have been MIA for a while now and I would be lying if I said I didn't miss blogging sometimes. Do you ever feel like you don't know if you should continue blogging because you just simply don't have time? That's kinda where I am right now!

I love to blog and I love the people  I have met that have turned into friends that I talk to regularly (you know who you are), but sometimes  I can 't ever find the time to blog. I guess I just don't make it enough of a priority. Blogging is similar to a full-time job. The more effort you put into it, the more you get out of it. I just need to find a balance. Lori and I talked about this yesterday and I told her I had even almost gone as far as to delete this little shindig, but for some reason I just didn't want to!

Have you ever experienced lack of time to blog and if so, what are you doing to make it a priority? I love to blog, but I need to learn to manage it better. So...HELP! Send me all your knowledge and ideas on how to get this little thing back up and running!

Now--on to some fun things! Yesterday, I went to Athens to hang out with Lori and go to the last Georgia game of the regular season! We had a blast, minus the fact that it was at 12 and it was slightly cold...perfect peacoat and scarf weather though for sure!

Georgia has a lot of good ole fashioned rivalries and Ga Tech is one of them. It a big deal around here. There weren't many Tech fans that showed up for that game which was probably best, because it was a little embarrassing for them! Our apologies to the Wramblin' Wreck of Ga Tech! They were definitely a wreck yesterday!

Lori's seats happen to fall on the shady side of the stadium..perfect in the summer but brutal in the winter! We pretty much stayed bundled up the whole time!

We swatted those Jackets and beat them into the ground big time. 42-10! Go dawgs!
Humble the Bumble.

We had a blast. Thanks Lori, for inviting me and letting me come!

Winning yesterday was sweet. We meet up with Alabama next weekend in the Dome to play for the SEC championship. It's a BIG deal y'all! Us Georgia fans desperately want to take out Bama. It's our time to shine and that's what we are gonna do! I shall be a nervous wreck until then.

The winner of that game will advance to the BCS championship which is even bigger. A whole bunch of exciting/stressful things coming up for us Dawgs!

We ended the night with pizza, wings and beer at the Williams residence and watched Notre Dame beat USC and be undefeated for the first time since the '80s. I was so pulling for those Irish! Happy for them!!! Good day for football yesterday!

Have a great week! And don't forget to send this girl some advice! LOVE!

GO DAWGS! BEAT BAMA!

Oh, How Pinteresting...

Linking up for one of my favorite link ups with Michele over at The VIntage Apple. I haven't done one of these in a LOOOONG time, but it's time to join the club again!! Enjoy and Happy Hump day!
Oh How Pinteresting: Quotes Edition
Lately, my quotes board has been on fire. I have been finding some funny stuff, y'all. I sometimes laugh at these for a long time and then feel like a complete idiot but laughter is good for us, so I just keep laughing!

Good Lord, this is so true. I also wish my face looked as great as those girls do.

HAHA!  I can't wait to look like Mrs. Claus

Truer words have never been spoken. How terrible would it be if it were summer all year long? I think I would have to relocate...drastic times call for drastic measures

TRUTH!

It's one of the best feelings ever...but at the time you pretend to be bummed. Secretly doing the happy dance with no pants.

Tim Tebow needs to pray a little more. Peyton needs to get his head in the game. GO BRONCOS!

miscellaney monday

I am slacking again (shocker) in the blogging department. I TOLD you all to keep me accountable and you have failed miserably. Like if this were a test and you had to pass it to get your college degree, you would all fail and have to start over while working as a bathroom cleaner at McDonalds.

Hey, this is my blog and I make up the randomness and nonsense. So that's what would happen. If you don't want to be sent to Mars on a bus resembling the Magic school bus naked, you will keep me on the blogging scene.

My pyscho moment is now come to a conclusion. And you're welcome.

Now, onto the day's post. Linking up with carissa at lowercase letters for some miscellaney monday and you should too. Its a good time.

First of all, I am literally catching up on the RHONJ reunion part 3 right now as I am typing this post. Stand up and scream hallelujah if you think Teresa is delirious! I would imagine that most of you are now standing up like me. That broad is some kind of crazy. And I really think she thinks she is completely normal. Bless her soul. Furthermore, I feel so bad for Melissa. She never had a chance. I, for one, believe what all the others say and I think Teresa and a big sparkly liar. I also think her hubby is a cheater and a scammer who would do anything to stay in the limelight and make money because he has zero skills...to get honest work anyways. Word

I have to fly to NC this week for work. I am a little nervous becauase I am the only rep going. I was told that I am very honest and that they need to to use me to test out a new system and they know I will be honest about if its helpful or not. I don't even know if I should be flattered or offended. hopefully, this will be a success and we can get it going for all the other reps to utilize in the near future.

I recently realized I have a mild watch problem. I have purchased 2 Fossils in the last 2ish months. Don't judge me. A girl needs a reliable watch. Follow me on Instagram if you want to check them both out...and all my other craziness I post on there. Its a good time. @alamb1205

How bout those Falcons? 6-0 BABY!! They barely clinched a win yesterday and only by a field goal. It was scaryyyyy, but we are now the only UNDEFEATED team in the NFL. Rise up, Falcons! We are going to the superbowl this year. Sorry about it, Saints. We are glad you are losing terribly this season. oops..

Anyways, you better stay on me about blogging. I swear if I don't have someone making me, I will seriously put it off. I love blogging but sometimes its easier to put it off than do it. Email me, facebook me, tweet me, send a carrier pigeon..whatever. just do it!

Happy Monday lovies!!!!

Baby Abigail's Shower

Don't fall out of your chair. This is TWO DAYS IN A ROW that you have seen me post a blog. I have so much to tell you and I love heaing your comments!

So here's a little recap of the baby shower me and few other girls hosted for my bestie Lindsey. She is due November 2 and we can't wait to meet that cute little face.

I would just like to say that our shower was probably the best that she had, not that I'm biased or anything but... ;)

It started at 2pm on Sunday and didn't really get over until about 5ish. I thought that was pretty good and that meant people were enjoying the things we had planned and the activites we were doing.

Anywho, I took on the task of producing a candy bar. (And no I didn't take pictures of the completed project...hey I'm doing good to have the pictures I do have) I had a little help from the roomie in making the centerpiece. It was a topiary that had 3 levels and over 600 dum dums on it. It looked GREAT! Needless to say, if anyone wants to borrow it and use it for your own shower, email me. That thing will be sticking around for a while haha! All my friends should look for that with or without a candy bar! I did a little bit of chocolate, some pastel colored jelly beans, some pink whoppers (yes they make those) and of course those amazing little mints that you always taken 15 of when you're leaving a restaurant even when it says 'Please take one,'  among other things. It was a hit. I only brought home a little bit of candy thank goodness. Cavities are not welcome in this house!

We had a cute cake with baby Abigail's initals and Lindsey got a lot of cute baby clothes, diapers and a ton of other things that she is definitely going to need. The hosts all went in and we got her the crib she registered for which she seemed so excited about because those things are not cheap. ME? I'm cheap...not baby cribs. They're the opposite of cheap. I think my child will probably sleep in their crib until they're at least 16 because I need to get my money's worth

We did this cute game of baby ABC's where everyone has the whole alphabet written and had to come up with a word that started with each letter that had to do with baby/motherhood etc. Some of the answers were things like nipple cream for 'N' and alcohol for 'A,' rubbing alcohol that is ;) but hey, all moms need a drink sometime!

Only 5 more weeks to go! Hurry up Abigail!! She looks great and hasn't gained a lot of weight at all. All baby!! I love baby bumps!! EEEEKK

I don't know what the protocol is for touching pregant girls belly's, but I can do this. I don't even have to ask. Ever.

Best friends for 4 years now. I can't even imagine life without these girls!

There is always THAT picture when we are together. I love a candid though, I have to admit.

The hosts and the preggers. I think this was our attempt at a funny picture. Apparently Abigail was kicking Mrs. Connie in the face from the womb.. weirdos.

I can't wait for that girl to be here!! She might get induced the last weekend in October which would mean I will have to scrap my GA/FLA game plans because I cannot be in another state when my sweet niece is born. Sorry Dawgs..

Look who is back on the wagon..!

I have MISSED blogging. Seriously y'all! I have thought about it so much and can't imagine how much I have missed out on since last month. I am going to try and stay up to date and keep the blogging role going. I need you all to be accountable to me and if you see me slacking, I better get an email, Facebook MSG, tweet, text or phone call. I know a few of you will definitely hold me to that.
Not calling any names Lori Williams :)

So since I last posted, so much has happened. I moved to a new town. It was a big decision and a risk, but I am so glad I did it and I don't regret it one bit. I love my new roommate and we get along great. Rent is cheap and we have a cute little bachelorette pad! HA! Things are finally starting to get back to normal and I have a new routine down and am settling into my new life in a new town..where I literally know no one. And I kinda maybe like it!

The job is going well. It was a huge transition, but I think I am finally getting into a groove and doing well. I haven't been fired yet so I always take that as a good sign because the bills are coming in like cray...which brings me to this question. Have you found me a sugar daddy yet? Get on that, k thanks

I know that a blog is boring without a little picture action, so you're in luck. I have some for you. This is just recent happenings that have been going on in the last month.

First show I worked as a sales rep with the 2 Saras! I don't know how I would get through the day without these 2.

The new roomie, me and roomie's friend! Somehow they convinced me to go out the night I moved in after moving all day. Needless to say, I was a tired girl the next day.

Georgia game with the roommate. Good 'ole bonding time!

After the WIN vs Florida Atlantic. GO DAWGS!

Oh hey, Lori. Just a little blogger/real life friend meet up. Check out her blog y'all, she is big time!

Falcons vs. Broncos game. Even though my beloved Broncos LOST to the Falcons, I still had a great time. It was a house divided that night!

So what do you think? Have I been having fun and living a good life or what? I really have missed my sweet blog family and I can't wait to catch up on your lives!!!

Have a great week y'all!!!!!!

Transitions

As I sit here in bed knowing that I need to get some rest because I have an early and long day tomorrow followed by a long week of packing and moving on top of it all, I have a million things running through my mind. I often wonder if everyone goes through that period where they want to be someone different and try different things but then doesn't know exactly how to do it or handle it.

I am in a transition period. I have mostly married friends who have their own lives and are living them. Don't get me wrong, being married is not something that I would like to do right now or even next year, but sometimes I feel like maybe something is wrong with me. Why does everyone else have this milestone crossed off their list at such a young age? Am I crazy to not necessarily want that NOW?

See, here in the south, it seems like its more acceptable to be married at a young age and have kids not long after. I have friends who got married when they were barely 20 and while there is nothing wrong with that, I can't help but feel anxiously weird about it. I am well past 20, so there's no need to worry about that happening, but still. I feel like at 23 almost 24, I have missed out on so much that I have wanted to do in the past because of stupid inhibitions of my own. Do people who get married at that age not feel like they have missed out on things too? I feel like I am the crazy one.

I had gotten really scared lately that I would never get out of this town and I would live here forever and that is not something I wanted. I am finally moving, but I feel apprehensive about it. I just sometimes feel like I don't really have a place per se. Like I haven't figured out who I am exactly yet and all my friends seem to know who they are and where they are going. I feel out of the loop for so many reasons.

I am excited to move in a few short days and not replace my friends with new ones, but meet new people and learn new things. I want to get out of my comfort zone and do things I wouldn't normally do. I want to go places and branch out and live for a while before I settle down. I am 23 years old for crying out loud.

I remember telling my mom in the many talks we had before she passed away that I wanted to be independent and support myself on my own before I got married just to prove that I could do it. I have always been an independent person who likes to do things for herself on her own time. I want to just show myself that I don't need anyone else to rely on, more specific, a man.

That being said, I can't wait to settle down one day in the distant future. And God might have a different plan for me, but for now, I think I am going to live and do me for a while. If anything else is meant to happen it will. Change is not something I usually embrace, but this time I am. I am going to do it. I am taking a leap of faith and moving out of this town almost 2 hours from home to delve into life and figure out who I am.

If you made it this far, please tell me I am not crazy. Right?

miscellaney monday

I must be the worst blogger on the face of the earth. Y'all, I have been so busy with work and life that by the time I get home at night, I can barely stay awake past 10. I'm sorry times a million that I have not been reading blogs or blogging! But I am making time to post a little updates on my life because I know you are all dying to hear. HA!

miscellany monday at lowercase letters

I am moving. This Friday. I am going to be living with a girl up near Atlanta and I can't tell you how excited I am to finally get out of this town I have lived in basically my whole life. I can't wait to update you and show pictures of the new place. She is also single so we have decided to live Sex and the City like until further notice.

I accepted the fact that I am the most indecisive person on the planet. I can't seem to make decisions easily and I don't know why that is. It just happens unintentionally. I want so badly to make them fast and painless, but it never happens that way.

Football season is just around the corner and I am dying for it to be here already. Go Broncos. I may or may not be contemplating going to the Falcons v Broncos game on a Monday night because it is in Atlanta and like 20 mins from my new abode. So what if I have to work the next day. Once in a lifetime experience, right?

I have been planning my best friends baby shower. Yesterday we got the invitations picked out and ordered and now we are in full planning mode. Any tips for this newbie?

I was sad to not be starting back to school last week. I missed it so much and it felt weird to not be going when I would drive by campus and see everyone going to classes. Officially an adult. eeeekk

Can't wait to catch up on your lives and show you my new place! I hope you all have and amazing Monday and start to your week. 4 day work week for me whoop whoop!!!

Peace out lovies!

The real me

So in keeping with my little promise about posting a little about me for all the newbies to my blog, I am going to tell you all a little about me. You don't have a choice but to read this, so buckle up people.

-I started this blog on a whim, but I have met some amazing people through it and while I don't do it as often as I would like, I enjoy it so much more than I ever imagined. It's the best kind of outlet and relaxation for me.

-I am too hard on myself, but I tend to let others slide more often than not.

-I have a mild problem with purses, shoes and jewerly. Oh and cardigans. I have more cardigans than Target and Old Navy put together. Seriously y'all. Not a joke here.

-Both of my parents passed away from cancer. My dad when I was just two and my mom when I was 19. My sister has always been a "mother" figure to me even when my mom was here because we are so far apart in age. 18 years to be exact.

-The only boys that I think will ever be in my life are my nephews. They never let me down. They are growing up too fast. Rewind the clock, please.

-I secretly think I will NEVER get married. It sometimes stresses me out. I don't want to get married now, but the pressure in the south to get married at a young age is ridic. Like really people? You're getting enagaged a week after you graduate college? Don't you wanna live a little or is that just me?

-Reality TV consumes every aspect of my life. You name it, I probably watch it.

-You will never catch me without my iphone.

-I got a real job about 2 weeks after I graduated college and in a field that had nothing to do with my degree, but it pays the bills and I love it. Can't complain too much.

-Everything I own is monogrammed. I'm not overexaggerating in the least. Everything.

-I love to spend money on other people but have the hardest time buying things for myself without feeling guilty. I love any occasion that calls for a gift.

-I can count on one hand the number of people that I trust. 5 or less no doubt.

-I come across as a confident person, but when its just me with my thoughts, I am pretty self-conscious and I have some issues with myself, but I would never let anyone see that weakness.

-I have never been in a wedding. I don't know if I should be glad or worried/insulted. hmm..

-I love sports. Mainly baseball, BRAVES baseball. But I do enjoy some college football and my beloved Denver Broncos.

-I dust once a week. Clean freak isn't even the word I would use to describe myself.

-Clean sheets are my most favorite thing in the whole world.

-Favorite movie ever: Hope Floats. Nothing like some old school Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr. Yummmmmy.

So what do y'all think? Crazy?
Absolutely.

Fridays Letters

It's Friday. The first day I have had time to even think about blogging in what seems like forever, yet somehow I have gained 2 new followers.

For those of you who are new, WELCOME! And just a little forewarning, I love to blog, but lately the posts are few and gar in between! I hope that I can blog a little more because its my favorite!

I want to do a little 'get to know me' post soon so be on the look out everyone, especially y'all newbies! If you have any questions you want to know answers to, just comment or shoot me and email!

Now, on to today's little linkage!

Dear Best Western, I booked you because I have stayed in your rooms before, but this time was more than disappointing. The first room had a shower that didn't work AT ALL and the second room had no hot water. You don't mess with a girl and her hot shower. Sorry I had to leave like that but it wasn't working out for me. Thanks for the refund.

Dear nonexistent maid, I really hope when I get home tomorrow from this work trip that you have cleaned my house and washed all my laundry so that I can enjoy my one day off this week. I would also like clean sheets if you aren't too busy. And if anyone would like to volunteer to clean said house in your free time, feel free to stop by. I can get you the address.

Dear man at the mall, I appreciate the insult you gave me today while trying to sell me skin care products. While I wouldn't have spent $139 on "salt scrub" from the Dead Sea, you didn't have to tell me such things like "The reason you're skin looks like it does is because you don't spend money on good skin care products." Um, really? That is NOT going to sell your product to women. I bet you aren't married because you suck balls. You are never going to get married and all of a sudden I don't feel so bad about my life knowing that you have no game at all.
Oh and one more thing- Ever heard the saying don't bite the hand that feeds you? Well I think you shouldn't insult the women you are trying to sell your products to otherwise you won't have any food on the table or electricity. Deuces, biatch.

Dear hormones, please return my face back to its normal breakout-free self. I don't like getting my feelings hurt my stupid mall salesmen. I like it much better when my face doesn't look like a pizza.

Dear USA, you have the best Olympic team in the world. Those atheletes have been rocking it out so far and they have been causing me to operate on minimal amounts of sleep because I have stayed up late watching. Ready for it to be over and not ready for it to be over. I vote Olympics every year. What do ya think people?! USA USA!

Dear followers, thank you for being awesome and thank you for not unfollowing me due to my lack of posting lately. It speaks volumes. Loves ya for reals!

Happy weekend y'all!!!

Go link up with fellow blogger and person I share my name with, ASHLEY!

A Heavy Heart

Last night I posted a random post and at the end I mentioned that my friend's nephew was on life support after drowning. I had spoken with her earlier in the evening and there hadn't been a change, so they were planning to take him off. I didn't actually know that he had passed away until this morning when I heard it on the radio.

I usually try to keep my blog fun and light-hearted, but as I lay in bed right now, I have tried to go to sleep and I just can't seem to take my mind off of this, so here I am-blogging in an effort to clear my head and get some sleep. I know we all feel better after we pound it out on our keyboards.

The pain that it must cause to watch a child pass away, before the parent has to be unbearable. I think we all kind of expect to see our parents pass away in our lifetime, but never do the parents think of having to bury their child at such a young age.

I am no stranger to death and the affects that it is. I think you all know that I lost my mom to cancer when I was a freshman in college. It's not something that anyone ever gets over and if they tell you it gets better, they have no idea what they are talking about. It never gets better or easier, it just gets bearable throughout the days.

I am just so heart broken for this family. This baby was only 2 years old and some things are not meant to be explained or understood by us. I believe in God and all that the Bible entails, but it still makes no sense and I have a hard time accepting that it isn't supposed to. God had a plan and this must have been it and while we don't understand, we just have to trust and let him take care of the rest. That's the whole point of having faith-
TRUST.

Tonight, she told me that her mom (which was the child's grandmother) was taking it hard. Going from being just numb and lifeless to being hysterical the next. I can't imagine the pain that she is going through right now. The parents of this sweet baby can't be doing much better.

I just feel helpless in the whole scheme and I know that all I can do is be there to help in any way that I can. My poor friend is trying take the role of coordinating everything while dealing with her own grief. I know she is exhausted mentally, physically and most of all emotionally.

She is one of my sweet blog friends, but also my in real life friend. I have known her since the 7th grade and she is a great person. I don't want to reveal her on the blog because I feel like that would be overstepping a little bit. All I ask is that you continue to pray for this family and pray that they make it through this difficult week and months and years to come.

If you have made it to the end, thank you for reading. I know that got heavy. I just believe in the power of prayer and that we all have to stick together because we are all fighting the same battle of life. We should always pray for one another, but in times like these especially so.

Thanks for being great bloggers and friends. I will post more updates and in the mean time, we will resume to our normally scheduled nonsense once this crazy week is over! Hope you are having an awesome week!

life lately..

I know, I know... its almost not even Monday anymore but better late than never right? You love me just the same. I hope...

Y'all, like has been so crazy lately, I almost don't even know where to begin. I am finally settling in to being an adult and getting into a routine. It's harder some days than others but I just have to keep on keeping on.

So anyways, aside from work, I have been doing alot of catching up on sleep and shopping. Last week was the huge show in Atlanta where all the business owners come stock up on their merchandise and order new stuff. We worked it for the whole week and ended up working 13 days straight after all was said and done. WHEW! It was so worth it but I was a tired girl when it was over.

I have been eye balling some Jack Rogers and I need some help. Tell me what colors you like the best. Gold? Silver?

Also, I am in the mood to splurge for a new bag, Michael Kors to be exact. Anyone have one they love and think I should explore? Suggestions are needed before I make a bad choice.

I plan on posting some of my fav link ups this week so stay tuned..

Hope you all have a greattttt week!

oh and say a small prayer for a friend of mine please. Her 2 year old nephew drown yesterday and they were taking him off life support tonight. Pray for their healing and comforting during such a hard time in their lives. It couldn't have happened to better people.
I am heartbroken for this little guy and his family who is left behind to live their lives without him. Its a sad situation. Just awful...Just please remember them this week as it won't get any easier anytime soon.

Accomplishment and my absence for the week!

Today I wore wedges all day at work without changing shoes! That's a huge accomplishment for this flip flops only kinda girl. Needless to say, my legs Hurt, but I think they just need to be broken in. I will be out of town until Sunday. I will try to post as much as I can, but don't send a search party out looking for me UNLESS said search party consists of 20 something single men who like to shop and buy me gifts OR Josh Turner is going to part of the search party. In which case, please send out a search party! Hope you all have a great week! And if you can't live without my antics daily, follow me on twitter. I ramble mindlessly on there all day errrryday! Have a great one ladies (and gents)!!

Home

Lately, I have been struggling to find myself. Since graduating in May, so much has happened to me and around me. I have ended a chapter of my life and started another, and my close network of friends seems to be displaced all over the state of Georgia. I graduated, got a job, bought a car, lost some friends to their respective new chapters and haven't had a margarita since who knows when! I know that we all have our own paths to follow in life, but without them all being around me the last few months has been hard. Maybe its selfish of me to think that. I think that in a way in kind of is. I think that my own lack of identity lately makes me want them all the come back and have things back to the way they were a few months ago.

Deep down I know that I need to find myself in this big 'ole world even if that sounds cliche. I know that I have big dreams, but I get impatient waiting for things to fall into place when I see everyone else out there doing what they want and love. I want things to happen now and when they don't I want to make them happen. I have learned that it just doesn't happen like that. God lets things happen in his time and I just need to trust that His plan is ultimately greater than mine and all I have to do is trust his timing for me and my life. Easier said than done!!

As long as I can remember, I have said that I couldn't wait to get out of this small town in Georgia and move to the city where there are always things to do and the possibilities are endless. There is never a dull moment, there are new people and places to discover and gosh knows there are always places to shop. Good places. People know too much about you in a small town. Sometimes that good and sometimes thats bad. I myself am a private person, so for me , I could do without that part. I just have a desire to be on my own and start over fresh. Meet new people, try new things and learn new things about myself. I still have that dream and I can't wait for it to come. I would move tomorrow if given the opportunity. I would be scared, but I would take that leap of faith and strike out on my own to see what life had planned for me.

Sometimes I feel like this small town is just a hole that people get stuck in. I think that its perfect for some people but you either love it or you don't. I don't love it right now. I might get the H out of dodge and then hate it and come back and that's ok too. I know that I have that option always if I feel like I need to come home.

The one thing that is always comforting to me when I think about leaving my small town life and comfort zone that I am so used to, is the fact that I can come back to this place whenever I want and I can expect things to be the same. We can always go back home no matter what. I have been told that since I was a little girl. Home is the one place that we can find comfort no matter how old we get or how tough life is. I just need to do it and not be afraid. I need to take the plunge and find solace in knowing that I can come back if things don't go as planned.

I stumbled across a blog today and its a girl who is from the same town I am from. She had posted a song by Carrie Underwood called "Thank God for Hometowns" and it hit me at the right time. I have been so restless and anxious and ready to get out of here and never look back. When I heard this song, I realized that no matter where I end up, even if its just an hour away, I can always come back to my hometown and find myself again. I can't not come back. Both of my parents are buried here, my family lives here and I have so many memories growing up here. I would never just leave and not look back. I don't think that anyone could.

Thank God for hometowns
And all the love that makes you go round
Thank God for the country lines that welcome you back in
When you were dying to get out
Thank God for Church pews
And all the faces that won’t forget you
Cause when you’re lost in this crazy world
You got somewhere to go and get found
Thank God for hometowns
Yeah

 Thank God for hometowns
First kisses and touchdowns
Thank God for the county lines that welcome you back in
When you were dying to get out
Thank God for Church pews
And all the faces that won’t forget you
And when you’re lost in this crazy world
You got somewhere to go and get found
Thank God for hometowns
Yeah

We all have a hometown, no matter how far away we might be from it. And we know that we can always go home and remember a different time whether or not we choose to go back. The memories and the people who love us are always there. That makes me feel better about moving away. If I fail, I know I have a place and people to come back to no matter what.

And check out this song. It's great! And Carrie is the perfect person to sing it. She is the epitome of a small town girl and she sings it with such conviction!

...the 3 best friends that anyone could have...

Anyone know what movie that little blog title is from?
Go.

I don't know if you know or not, but my two very best friends in the world moved to Valdosta about 2 months ago and I haven't seen them since! We did everything together! Seriously. We are like Three's Company...and I'm not Chrissy. You know, shes the dumb one. (Sorry Shelbs, I guess that means you're it.)

Anyways, they moved down there because my little bestie got into grad school.

Ok, so obvs I am Chrissy. Haters.

We haven't been able to get together since and last night we just sat down and planned it out and nailed down a date! So this time 2 weeks from now I shall be traveling the long, boring road to Valdosta and we will be reunited! I am beyond excited! I miss these 2 like cray cray!

Y'all, these are seriously my sidekicks and my life has been so boring since they left. I know I sound like a huge loser. I have other friends, but none that like to just be spur of the moment. I can either be a planner and have to have things planned out or I can be super spontaneous and have no plans and just get up and go. They make me the spur of the moment kinda people. No stress comes with it either.

I know, I know its complete opposite ends of the spectrum, but I'm not a normal person. Duh. Anyways, here's a little sneak peak of what you can expect on the blog in 2 weeks.
And if we are friends on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, please be prepared for a LOT of checking in, photos and tweets. I'm sorry in advance. Don't hate me!

Enjoy.

We are a blast in a glass. I have known that boy for a longgggg time and he married little Shelby and now we are super close. I couldn't ask for better people to be around. They are the only married people I choose to hang out with! I feel like we are all married when we are together. Polygamy much?

Hope you have a great weekend. I will be planning my weekend! Any ideas? Besides Flip Flops..only MY MOST FAVORITE BAR EVER!!! Shelby says we aren't going, but I will show her whose boss. Plus, I'm the guest. Sorry, I win.

It's OK Thursday

Thursday is almost Friday!!!! EEEK!

I am gonna link up for my most favoritist post everrrrr!!!

It's OK Thursday with Neely! I love that Thursdays are just a free day to post any complaints you have for the week and you can get away with them. It's like in the blogger code to let this day be a bitchin' day.

No seriously, it's written somewhere.

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

that I can't seem to generate anything remotely clever to blog about lately. I'm sorry y'all, my creative juices seem to be a little on the dry side. I am trying to be better. Bare with me!

that I want a pet so bad but I know I have zero time in my busy, crazyyyy schedule to add one to the mix. It wouldn't be good for me or the pet.

that I got a new Steve Madden bag via TJ Maxx yesterday because I had a mini major meltdown before work. I must have cried to my bestie for at least 20 mins. Thank God for best good friends. Can I get a "amen?"

that said bestie referred to my new bag as "a luggage piece" I can't find a picture online and I am too lazy to go take one, but its adorable!

that my first car payment is due Monday and while I'm not looking forward writing the check, I can't wait to feel all adult like...actually I can, but still. you get the point
that my face could easily pass for the most heavily pepperonied pizza. Its awful and it makes me not want to leave the house. I mean its never been this bad and I am 23. WTF

What are you OK with?

Go link up.Happy Thursday and happy complainin :)

Oh, How Pinteresting..

I know that EVERYONE is probably going to do a little 4th of July post today, and while I think its great, I think I will skip it because of that reason. I will say one thing:

#merica

Now, lets get to it. I am just gonna do a little link action with Michelle at The Vintage Apple and you should too. It's definitely a blast!

I am mildly obsessed with nails lately. Mildly is the wrong word. I just love all of these fun cute lil nails! I need to make my nail man hook a sista up ASAP!

Hope you are all out enjoying this wonderful day. Let's remember that its not just a day off from work, while yes, that IS a perk. Let's remember all the peeps who have fought to keep our country free! Just a little reminder there. Do it everyday, too. Not just one or two days a year.
Now, go light some fireworks, grab a beverage and enjoy yourselves!

Happy Wednesday!
ps. I vote to have every Wednesday off. A little mid week break would do us all some good. I'll start the petition and post it here next week :)

Just living my life

I can't post everyday, ok? I want to but its not possible for this WORKING girl nowadays. Either I have no time or I am just too lazy.

Decide for yourself!

Just a quick update:

-I am still loving my job even though I did have one tiny meltdown on Monday. I just have to stop being so hard on myself and realize that everyday isn't going to be an amazing one. Some days are gonna be mediocre sales wise. Got it!

-When I get home from work, I have to check my emails and respond, send my orders over to our home office, email the customers from the day their orders and then make dinner, shower and collapse into bed about 9pm on a good night. There have been a lot of sandwiches being eaten around these parts lately. Home girl is tired.

-I am getting haircut on Saturday. If I can manage to take a good picture of myself that I don't think I look like an alien in, I will post it. I am just getting a trim so don't expect too much from me!

-In the midst of all my chaos, I am also beginning to plan a baby shower for my best best friend who is expecting a baby girl in November. Nov. 2 to be exact so I am trying to do it in September because she could be good to go anytime in October really. I can't have that baby showing up and not have already had a shower. Sorry. But sweet Abigail Grace will be here soon! I think the theme is cheetah. baby pinks and light browns. SO exciting!

-I have go to do laundry so bad. I am down to the underwear that you only wear when you have no others to wear. The ones you hate that are at the bottom of your drawer. I seem to stay like that lately. I just have not enough time to get everything done! Time management is something I need to work on!

-I am guest posting next week over at a friends blog. I need ideas before this weekend because I have to send it over by the 1. What should I post about y'all??
HELP A SISTER OUT!

Its almost Friday. God Bless America!

Oh.. and if don't forget to follow me on twitter! The button is here on my page! I like to post stupid junk, just a heads up. Stupid but kinda funny!

Oh, How Pinteresting...

I have not participated in this link up in a while. I was kinda on a pinterest break for a minute because I was bored with it. Pinterest and I have since rekindled our love and I wanted to share some cute pins with you!!

Go link up. It's a good time.

Oh, How Pinteresting: NO theme edition!

This is a no brainer. The end.

I kinda love these. I like that they are nude (which is my go to nail color) with a little bit of fun!

I would never have the balls to do it unprovoked. Unprovoked..

I love that bag!! And those shoes too, but really the bag. I think its so cute and fun for summer!

This is simply brilliant. I think I should invest in one of these little wine glasses. Who cares?

You're welcome for the laugh! :)

Twitter

So my IRL and blog friend Lori over at a crazy walk on the safe side discussed twitter the other day over coffee (smoothie for me).

I, of course, use twitter more than I should alot and I love it. I love that people share their random, funny, crazy, or other thoughts and ideas on twitter but that it's not a whole book of crap that you have to read.

I like it better than Facebook because there is a limit to how much you can post. I don't care to read a novel or read about your dysfunctional family life or baby daddy drama. If you need to talk about that, get a therapist...or a blog. Duh.

Anyways, twitter limits the number of characters a person can post and I dig it. Lori has been toying with the idea of getting a twitter and I am all for it.

I love it.
Have I said it enough to make you believe it yet?

A lot of you have a twitter that is the same name as your blog name. I don't have it set up like that and I was wondering what you're thoughts on that are. My blog name is pretty long, so I wasn't sure if it was a good thing,

Also, does it even matter that I don't have the same names? Do you guys that follow me notice a difference?
I would love to change my twitter name to my blog name, but my blog name is simply too long.

What do you think? Important or no?

Let me know what you think. I need some input.. and if you aren't following me, go do it- NOW! :)

@lambo405

ps. convince Lori to join us twitter folks while are you at it

miscellaney monday

Have I ever mentioned that I hate Mondays? Well, I probably haven't because I haven't ever had a job where I was guaranteed to work every Monday. Now that I have a REAL job, Monday is not a good time and I can tell its only gonna get worse from here. I love my job so far, but I could do without the Monday thing.

Anyways, Monday always comes with a little link up action. So per normal, here it goes. Go link up with little miss carissa at lowercase letters and share you randomness. You won't be sorry.

miscellany monday at lowercase letters

On Thursdays, I {almost} always link up for "It's OK Thursday" and I did last week too. Only, I scheduled my post to be published at a certain time and NEVER went over to submit my link. Obvs I'm not in it for the publicity, right?

I didn't think I was stressed at all last week until Mr. fever blister greeted me on Friday with a nice little place on my lip. I rarely get them unless I am stressed out so I was surprised to see it pop up. I guess I was subconsciously stressed. I'm kind of a freak like that.

I just realized that I have been using the same purse since Christmas. Remember the most wonderful gift that mystery boy gave me? If not, check it out HERE! I am just so in love and content with this bag. I haven't had a desire to change it out since and its been almost 7 months. Love it.

I watched Snapped all day yesterday. What a loser Sunday I had. If I ever have a desire to kill someone, I know what NOT to do when doing it.
*I don't have a desire to do that though so don't worry :) *

My first appt on Tuesday is at 7:30AM and I may or may not have to get up superrrrr early to drive there and beat the traffic. What a girl will do to make a sale y'all.

I haven't had a fill in in about 3 weeks and my nails look awful. I am super poor and don't wanna waste money right now, but when I get that first nice check, it may be the first thing on my to-do list. My apologies to my nails...

Saturday I went through my house and literally threw away 3 boxes of junk that I had accumulated. I am not a hoarder by any means, but some things I have just saved for whatever reason and it was time they took a hike. I love the feeling I have after purging things and getting organized again. Refreshing.

I may have ironed my shirt with my flat iron this morning because I am too lazy to go get the iron and ironing board. Cut me a break ok? It was just going under a cardi so I just needed to make the front of the shirt look presentable.

Yes, I am aware that the last thing is pathetic. Leave me alone, haters.

I missed Teen Mom last week because of work training, but I hope to be able to catch up this week before the new episode. #fingerscrossed

Hope you all have a FAB day bloggies!

Kenny Chesney - Come Over

Enjoy!

It's OK Thursday

You know the deal little misses and misters. Write down all your favorite "its ok's" from the week and go link up with Neely!

http://www.acompletewasteofmakeup.com/" title="Its Ok Thursdays">http://i909.photobucket.com/albums/ac293/munchkin_land_designs/BlogDesigns/Buttons/ItsOkThursdaysButton.png" alt="Its Ok Thursdays" />

It's Ok...

that I haven't slept well at all this whole week. I never sleep well when I'm not in my own bed, so I am planning to sleep all day Saturday. Not really, I plan on working but its a nice thought.

that I have a million cute work samples overtaking my car

that I can use any and all of those samples for my own use to model them for the company. Challenge accepted.

that its storming as I am typing this post and I am on the 18th floor with a huge glass window all ALONE and I am scared. Storms never get easier. Sorry About it!

that I finished all the Emily Giffin books and I am going to pre-order the new one coming out in July as soon as I get home this weekend. LOVELOVELOVE her!

that reality tv consumes mylife. For reallssss... I think I need an intervention like yesterday

that I watch My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. That last episode...y'all.
That shh was crazyyy. I know I wouldn't be getting in any fighrd with those peeps

that my eyebrows grow too fast and I would rather shave them than pluck them all the time. Really, I mean not even my leg hair can keep up with the competition anymore. Eyebrows win by a nose :)

that I think Call Me Maybe is the stupidest song ever. It always seems liket those become the most popular. Example: It's Friday by Rebecca Black
Honestly, that song is only ok on Friday then some Friday's it still isn't ever ok.
Stop listening indefinitely. See what I did there?
No? mmmmk

that its Thursday and tomorrow is Friday!

Word to your mother

over.
