2012

To start of the new year, I thought it would be cool to write a list of things I would like to do/accomplish in the  new year and see how much of it I actually did at this time next year. I guess you could call it mini bucket list of sorts. Basically, short term goals and things I think hope know I can do easily at this point in my life.

1. Make all A's my final semester of my undergraduate college career.
2. Graduate :)
3. Find a job doing something I love doing (not that I don't love my current job, but not what I wanna do forever and with my hard-earned college degree)
4. Make a point to take more time for myself without feeling bad about it later
5. Stress less
6. Read more books instead of saying "I'll do it when I get more time." No better time than now!
7. Be finished with my Christmas shopping by or on Black Friday. I almost did it this year.
8. Be kinder to people
9. Have more patience
10. Spend more time with my family
11. Raise money and participate in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk with Lori.
I lost my mom to breast cancer when I was a freshman in college, so anything that deals with raising money for it, I am all for!
12. Spend less money on things I don't necessarily need (I will TRY..)
13. Eat Better
14. Drink more water
15. Shave my legs regularly as much as possible :)
16. Get enough sleep every night
17. Be less jealous
18. Spend more time outdoors
19. Go to church more
20. Go on a road trip with my closest friends
21. Attend at least 5 Atlanta Braves game...usually easy for me, but not this year.
22. Listen better
23. Donate money to a good cause at least once
24. Cook more
25. BLOG MORE and hopefully get more followers
26. Take more pictures to post on my blog
27. Take bubble baths on Friday nights after LONG weeks
28. Be positive even when it seems impossible
29. Apologize when I know I am wrong
30. Thank God all day every day for my wonderful life
31. The final thing: Let go of things, people and feelings that I know I need to and know that God has a plan for me. Even though I can't see it now, I will try and trust Him as much as possible and let it all go. I need to work on this most of all, so all my blog friends keep me in mind and hopefully I can accomplish this!

Confessional Friday

Oh WAIT, Happy Friday! I forgot to greet you like I normally do because I have much to confess...some exciting and some, well, let's just say not so exciting!

Leslie, at A Blonde Ambition, has been one of my favorite blogs for a while now and I have just recently vowed to blog more and get more followers! I am finally linking up to her blog for Friday Confessional! 

1. I had a lot of new comments yesterday from some of my favorite bloggers, including Leslie at A Blonde Ambition and it it safe to say that I was MORE THAN PUMPED. I got so excited to read what you said and it was nice to see that people actually read my blog, because sometimes I get frustrated with myself and impatient. New Years Resolution: Be more patient! But thanks for all my new comments and keep 'em coming! It makes me so giddy to get that email.. and follow me while you're at it. I am willing to risk having a heart attack for the sake of getting new followers! 

2. I have to work New Years Eve, so I will probably come home and crash early. Don't all 23 year olds do the same on NYE? 

oh...well regardless, I think I shall have a drink or four and have a date with my new kindle fire and just be relaxed. Bring it on 2012!

3. I could shop with the best of them, but after receiving gift cards for Christmas, I cannot seem to spend the money. I find it ridiculous that I have NO PROBLEM spending my own money, but when I am given the chance to spend other people's, I choke and can't find anything to buy. #pathetic

4. I have dusted twice this week. Don't judge me. There could be a good reason why I have done that and as soon as I come up with one, I will post it. Until then, please let me have my harmless pleasures! 

5. I sometimes try to not be "trendy" when it comes to certain things. I like to think I have my own style and I am not easily influenced by others. Well.....I may or may not be getting a Longchamp bag. 

Now I know what you're all thinking...that is the opposite of not being trendy, but I love purses and bags and I just want one ok? I am very excited to get it and as soon as it comes in, I will post multiple pictures as if it were my newborn child. 

6. I watch Toddlers and Tiaras. Enough said

and I like it..

7. I have yet to put away all the clothes I received from Santa. Currently stacked and folded neatly sitting on the kitchen table. I hate putting clothes away..who wants to come take care of that?

8. I will be purchasing an iphone 4 in January. I think it will be my ONE splurge for the year...haha right!
