Its OK Thursday...

Yes, This is my second post this week! Can I get a WHAT WHAT!

1. Its ok...if a final I have been studying for JUST got cancelled at the last minute. No complaints there...I can just blog instead of studying. Yippeee.

2. Its ok...if I cried on my birthday this week because my stress level from finals week was out of control. Ever heard the song "It's my Party and I'll Cry if I Want too?" Well YES it was my birthday and I will cry if I want to. So I did. 

3. Its ok...if I pin things on pinterest religiously and NEVER make anything or buy anything that I pin. It's called a 'virtual pinboard' which technically means online so therefore I can just continue to pin online and NEVER do anything with it even though I desperately want to.

4. Its ok...if I have an addiction to diet coke and didn't drink one all day yesterday and almost could not get home fast enough from work because I had a terrible headache..hey hey, one day at a time people.At least its not crack...just saying.

5. Its ok...if I am mad that people have been wearing short and flip flops in the month of December. I want everyone to wear cute sweaters, scarves and boots. 

Dear Mother Nature, please leave this cold weather until winter is over because I am KINDA LOVIN' IT!

6. Its ok...if I stayed up all night on Thanksgiving night in order to get good deals and complete some of my Christmas shopping. Its also ok that I had to work the next day and did so from 8-6 without crashing even once. All nighters are so much better than when they are for NOT for school!

7. Its ok...if I am very anxious about being done with school in one semester. I am legitimately freaked out to be an adult. Is it too late to change my major? I kid.

Or do I...?

8. Its ok...if i have only worn makeup one time this whole week. I could make up reasons why, but the truth is I am just lazy and care nothing about what people at school think of me!

9. Its ok...if the Broncos do not make the playoffs or the Super Bowl this year because I feel that next year is gonna be it

 ...and by next year I mean sometime before I die...which is hopefully not next year! :)

10. Its ok...if I love chocolate covered peanuts from school and when they don't have any I sorta have thoughts of crying...seriously. them thangs are SO good. I think I might need to buy every pack they have left to get me through the break..

Lively Happenings

I am attempting to write a final paper as we speak and I have to most horrible writer's block...or maybe it's laziness. Actually, its definitely laziness...

Well, since I am being a horrible bum today and choosing not to type my final paper until later, why don't I fill everyone in on my life lately...

ENJOY.

I am almost done with college. One more semester and I will be done. Cinco de Mayo baby! Boy I cannot wait either. I am excited and ready and then a little nervous to start looking for jobs and become an adult with way more bills than I pay now..eeekkk

This past Friday I went to see one of my bifs, Lori. She recently moved to Athens because her hubby got a new job and I haven't seen her since. Friday I was off, so I decided to take a day trip to see her and catch up. Of course, the day was wonderful with lunch at Panera (my new favorite place), did a little shopping and just caught up on the haps in each others life. It was wonderful and I can't wait to go back! I kinda love Athens.

Next, at the beginning out November, my married friends and I took a weekend trip to Atlanta. All three of our bdays happen to fall around the same time (mine is TODAY! YIKES!) We had a wonderful time and I can't even begin to tell you how much fun it was. We have already been talking about going again soon!

For those of you who still read my blog despite my broken promises to do better and blog every day, thank you very much! I desperately want to blog daily, but life happens and things get in the way and honestly, I sometimes just plain forget.

I am a horrible blog friend and member of the blog world, but one day I will be better. I need to perfect it and once school is over, maybe I will!

Day 3! Proud? Should be..

I'm thankful today for people who choose to fight in wars and serve our country so that I can sit here and type this very blog. Without their selflessness, none of us would have what we have. The fact that men and women choose to leave their families and protect you and me is just unreal to me. they wake up everyday not knowing what will happen, whether they'll be with their family another day or be shipped out to fight the bad guys. If they aren't your heros, then Idk why. I know I could never do what they do and its ALL FOR US.
Next time you make a choice to do something, go to dinner, wch a movie or call into work, remember that we are able to do that because of someone we have never even met!

How wonderful is that? Thank a service man or women the next time you see them. They deserve so much more than that but I'm sure acknowledgement is more than enough.

Thank you all for what you do for me. I'm thankful there are selfless people still around!

I'm Thankful- Day numero dos

Happy Happy Happy Thursday! I would like to say that I am officially on weekend time as of 7:45 this evening. After a full week of junk that entails everything you can imagine! I hope everyone's week has been great and very short!

I will spend my weekend in Atlanta with some friends! I don't know if yall are aware or not, but this is the first time I have actually gone somewhere just for fun in a [LONG] time...like so long I don't remember how long its even been!

Don't worry, I plan on taking pictures to document my fun-filled weekend and posting next week, complete with pictures. Of course, I will thoroughly look over ALL the pics and post only the ones I think make me look pretty and that are blog appropriate! :)

I am thankful that I have 

ONE SEMESTER OF COLLEGE LEFT! 

Seriously, the last five year have been crazy and I am glad that I am almost done!

 NO more late night study sessions, no paper long papers that I put off until the night or two before they are due, no more caffeine 24-7 etc etc...

I love school and I love that I have learned so much, but I am more than ready to start the next part of my life and move on. 

Thanks to everyone who has supported, encouraged and helped me. 

I have a number of friends and family members and teachers that have inspired me to be the person that I know I want to be! 

Its been a long time coming, but Ashley is all grown up...well as of May 2012 anyways!

I am thankful that I have the ability and the means to go to college and pursue any degree I want without any limitations. Some aren't so lucky. 

Have a FABULICIOUS weekend, yall!

New Found Inspiration..

Hello, my name is Ashley and I fail at blogging. Things in my life have been so hectic lately that I have little or no down time...ask anyone. Im just trucking right along and trying to finish up my next to last semester of college. T minus 6 months til graduation. Ill post my address sooner to the date so you can all send money and congrats. Im kidding....but seriously! :) hey hey, what would my blog be without a little humor and of course honesty?

I have been so disconnected lately that I feel bad for not blogging and being accountable. Maybe no one even reads this and so no one really even cares. :) take it from me, once you fall off the blogging wagon, it ain't easy getting back on. I am going to try so leave comments and encouragement so that I can stay motivated!

In keeping with the trend of things im thankful for that is circulating facebook, I decided what better what to get back on the wagon. My friend Cason has inspired me to do this because she has also fallen behind lately and is using this to help stay focused.so for the month of november, each day im going to post a thing im thankful for. And you're all going to read and enjoy. :) so here goes nothing guys...enjoy. love y'all. Mean it!

Day 1:
I am thankful for my wonderful family who continue to support thru EVERYTHING. I literally couldn't have picked a better and more quirky family. Things have been rough and we've all known tough times, but we never falter in our support for one another and we push forward. I forget to sit back and truly be thankful for them. Love you all!

Day 2:
I am thankful that I have a wonderful job. Alot of people aren't able to say that these days and I feel especially blessed. Although its not what I want my career to be, it pays the bills I have now and gets me thru. I love it and I couldn't imagine any better place to work while im in school with a crazy schedule. If you're out of work, stay positive and stay focused. God will make a way. Don't doubt it!

Updates on the life and times of A.Lamb

I have been a terrible blogger lately and I literally cannot say how sorry I am enough! I really am super busy and have very little time for anything but school work and internship and, of course, my job that I get paid for. (Which as of recently is very little) I am literally going 90-nothing all day from the moment I wake up until I finally fall into bed at night!

So enough with my excuses...I am going to stop promising to do better because I have been the world's biggest promise breaker lately, especially with blogging! 

I hope that you are all enjoying the transition into almost fall but still too hot to do anything outside or even remotely close to a window or door! 

Anywhooo...lets see what I can ramble on about for a few minutes before I head off to my last class of the day at 6:30pm...

I love my internship. I love everything about it. Court, paperwork, the STAMP MACHINE!

I love that in less than 8ish months I will officially be a college graduate. What what!

I love that I have to look presentable for my internship, so forcing me to look nice 4 days a week when I would normally wear shorts/jeans and a t-shirt to class. OH, don't forget the hat to complete my whole look.

I love that I have no time for pinterest because I know once I sign on, its just like a death sentence. So I don't even bother. Ok, I know...I am such a liar. I HATE IT! :)

I love that its football season and although I like profesh football much better than college, both will suffice.

I love colors of fall that will be visiting us very soon!

I love my shoe/reality TV addiction. But you all should know that by now, huh?

Finally, I love exactly where I am in life as of right now! I am content with my school, my job, and my future! I have amazing friends and family that support me no matter what and I have the blog world to rely on when I need a good vent session taken out on the keyboard!
