Update

I am happy to report that I have made it thru the most grueling/fun/crazy/informative/exciting/longest 2 days of my life- training!

I have seriously enjoyed it though. It was so helpful and made me feel way more confident about my job and future sales when I am on the road.

EXCITING NEWS:

So, let me set the scene up for you.

Today, we are in the showroom and my boss aka the owner of the company is going through all the collections and products and we are just learning about promos and yada yada yada. She is there, which is huge for a company of this size, her right hand guy who is basically like a God, (seriously, he's great. I wish I could just put him in my pocket accent and all:)) my direct sales manager and 4 other reps. We are just trucking right along and a lady comes into the showroom and begins to look around.

Mind you,the showroom isn't technically open but no one in their right mind is going to tell that to a potential buyer. All of a sudden, the cute guy I wanna put in my pocket comes over and announces that she is my customer and that her store is my territory and asks the owner if she wants me to help her. Of course, she is like absolutely- go for it.

After I crapped my pants,  I was just worried about not filling the shoes I needed to in front of all my bosses.

Luckily for me, this sweet lady was so kind and seemed to really like me and she obvs liked the products because I sold my little booty off and it was awesome!

Y'all, seriously I can't even describe the feeling after a big sale, especially an impressive one in front of your superiors. I knew I loved sales before, but after this one experience, I think I
am officially addicted. It's a good feeling to have conviction about what you are selling and actually love the products and the job. I just LOVE it!

I promised to update you and so I have. Thanks for all the support and emails that you have sent me to check in and ask about me. It doesn't go unnoticed and I seriously love you all!!

ps. If you live in Georgia, we are planning a blate sometime in the next few months. Email me and let me know if you want to meet up with me and some fabulous other bloggers in the state! Georgia has the best bloggers, after all! Kidding! :)

This is what I have had to look at the past 3 days. Just living the life.

Happy almost weekend babycakes!

Moving on.

As most of you read this, I will be well into my last day at work. My little, tiny comfort zone and family that I have been a part of for almost 3 years. Monograms and More is what got me interested in the whole concept of sales. I have always been a people person, but it wasn't until I started working there that I realized just how much I do love interactions with different people and how much I love to sell.

Most of my followers know my personality just from reading my blog, so I think that sales is something that suits me, for now anyway. I may wake up 2 months from now and hate it and want to go back to school and do something in criminal justice, which was my plan until about a month ago.

I was offered a job as most of you know and the way I found out about the position was through my job at M&M. I wouldn't have known anything about it had we not gone to the mart one weekend and spoken to our rep from the company I will be working for in just 2 short days. I am nervous to leave my little world and comfort zone I have created, but I know it will be worth it. Scared doesn't even describe it!

I want to dedicate this post to the people who have helped me and encouraged me to pursue this career and to thank them, even though most of them never read my blog unless I post the link to Facebook. I forgive you! :)

Mrs. Connie- Working for you the last few years has been awesome! I would not be set up to go down the path that I am on without you and your help. Had we not gone to Atlanta that morning and talked to our rep, I wouldn't have found out about the job, I wouldn't have applied for the job and I most certainly wouldn't have gotten the job. I am forever grateful to you for giving me the push in the right direction. Since my mom passed away, you have been like my second mother. I had cried to you, complained to you and you have listened and been there every step of the way without fail. We have definitely had our share of fights, but we have made it through it even still. I can't thank you enough for giving me the chance to work for you and become a part of your family. You are truly a selfless person and I am thankful to have you in my life. Thank you for the graduation present! (for those of you who don't know, she took us on a all expense paid beach trip to SanDestin FLA!) I am forever indebted to you for helping me get to this point in one piece. I love you, Con-Con. And don't worry, even though I'm not there everyday I will still make it a point to stop by and crack jokes at your expense. I love you!

Ashley-(otherwise known as Alice for reasons we aren't sure of thanks to our boss and her mental state) I can't even imagine a better best friend in this world. You are the person I would love to be if I could be like anyone. You are mild, kind and just sweet all around. I won't ever be able to thank you for being a solid person to turn to in my life when things were bad. You always had/have my back and I appreciate it. I know that there will be times in the near future when I will call you and vent to you for hours and you will just listen and apologize just like you always do! You are one of the most genuine people I know and I am so proud that you are my "biffle." I know that your plans have been altered a little in the past few months, but I know that you will get back on the right track in no time and become the nurse you have always wanted to be. I will be there cheering you on every step of the way. Thank goodness I won't have bruises on me all the time from your hits. You seriously hit like a man. I dig it. Love you love you love you!

Lindsey- You are the first person I met even before I came to work at M&M. You and I were friends before I got the job and I couldn't even begin to thank you for helping me get the job. You put a little faith in me and you had only known me for a few months. You stuck your neck out for me not knowing what was going to happen and it meant more than you know. I look forward to talking to you because I know we agree on just about everything and I can always count on you to be irrational with me in times of distress. No matter what we are sharing- clothes, shoes, opinions and concerns, I know that you have my back. You are my best friend and my sister. I can't wait for you to start your new journey with me-only yours is gonna be way harder than mine will ever be. You are going to be a great mother to that sweet little GIRL and I can't wait to watch you with her. I know that you have waited for a while to become a mother. Some of us are just born to be moms and I think that you are. She is going to be lucky to have you as her mom to look up to. She is one lucky gal. Now that I will be making pretty good money, don't worry about the baby shower I am throwing you. It will be over the top just like me. I love you to pieces.

The Hannahs- I am grouping you two together because I haven't had the privilege of being so close to you for that long. I am leaving you both in charge of that store and I expect it to stay just as good and even better than it is now. Don't make me sorry I left!! :) I have all the faith in the world that you will be amazing girls and will keep the store in tact. Don't get discouraged and don't let certain people walk all over you at work...and outside of work for that matter. Never stop having fun at work! It really is the best job!
Hannah J- GO TO COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL. No matter what anyone else says, its what you want to do and I think you should do it. You are going to rock. My intentions are completely good, except I might want a little discount from you.. duh! Love you maxxanista!
Hannah S- WOW! I have watched you grow up a little bit and I think are you just awesome! Your laugh is infectious and it makes me smile even when things are crappy! I know that you are going to do great things in life whatever profession you choose! Just remember, don't let anyone talk you out of what YOU want to do! Always know that I am here for whatever you need! Keep those curly red locks in tact would ya!? Love you GF! :)

My parents and family- I couldn't have made it this far without you. You have been there from day one. I will always try to make you proud in whatever I do and never let you down. I can't believe that I made it thru college and graduated and have a job. I am a real working girl now. Look out world! :) I love you all more than you will ever know. I don't know where I would even be without the support and love. I can't count the number of times I hated you growing up for making me come home at curfew, taking away my car and cell phone when I got in trouble and for not getting me a new car like everyone else. I now look back and appreciate it all. I appreciate my old car that I drove all thru highschool and college. It makes me appreciate my new car so much more because I know I have earned it. I promise to always follow my heart and do what I know is best for me. I promise to never let you down and I promise to raise my own kids with the same morals and values as I was raised with. I love you forever!

If you have made it thru to the bottom of this blog post, thank you!!!! I have to thank you all too. All my followers and friends that I have made. Your words have humbled me to no end and I can't wait to share my experiences with you!!

You can collapse now.

No, you are not crazy...

No you have not died and gone to heaven. Yes, I am posting twice in one day. I know, I know its hard to believe that I even posted once because lately I am doing good to just get a post published, but today I have been the laziest human being on the face of this planet. Seriously, if I was put up against a sloth in a race right now, I can confidently say that the sloth would win hands down.

THAT lazy.

Anywaysssss, I had to run a few errands this morning before the laziness kicked in and as I was driving by Payless, my new little white car just pulled into the parking lot. All by itself, y'all. I know, I tried to turn the wheel but that little girl has got some power and before I knew it we were in the parking lot and the car was off and I was walking in the door, brown Longchamp bag in hand.

This whole new job thing has given me a reason to shop. I have to look profesh and cute when I meet with clients, duh. And I can't very well wear the same stuff every day. That's like a cardinal sin in the fashion world.

10 minutes and $40 bucks later, I walked out with these beauties..

Womens Montego Bay ClubWomen's Nelly Strappy Sandal

I love these! I have been wanting some cute, strappy flats that I could wear with a lot of stuff! These are perfect. They were only $14.99 people. I couldn't even love myself anymore if I had walked out without these. They have a few other colors, but I am loving the camel color rather than just the same 'ole brown!

Brands Montego Bay ClubWomen's Skylar T-Strap Wedge

And these. BUT not in white! I got the brown ones. I couldn't find the brown ones online because obvs they were too popular! These babies were on sale for $20 buckaroos! They are so comfy y'all I am dying to wear them with a cute little skirt or dress!!

So in case you were wondering what I do all day, I just shop and nap. No, but seriously.

My new job starts Monday so this week has been a little relaxing me time and I am not gonna enjoy being a real world working girl come Monday!

Have a happy Friday people!

Friday's Letters

In keeping with the spirit of me having absolutely nothing interesting to blog about this week, I thought I would do a new link up! A lot of the blogs I follow do it, so I am playing copy cat and following the crowd for once.
Check out the link up and Ashley's blog!!

Dear new job, I really hope that we are a good fit because if we don't work out I don't exactly know how I will pay for car payment, insurance and other bills that continue to come even if I am unemployed.

Dear me, why are you already being so debbie downer when you haven't even started your new job yet? You are being stupid and dramatic and you are going to rock. Have a little faith in yourself for once and own it.

Dear man at the car dealership who was an ass, you knew that I was coming to get different rims put on my car and have a scratch buffed out. When I got there you acted completely rude and didn't pay me any attention for almost 2 hours, not to mention letting me know that my car had already had the rims on it and was ready to go for a while. When if ever were you going to walk over to me and let me know? How long were you going to let me sit there? I'm just saying, I wouldn't have had to show out if you had done your job and given customer service that you promised on the phone. Good riddance little man.

Dear laundry, when are you going to start washing, drying and folding yourself? I am really over this whole process and I think its time you grew up and did some things on your own. I would appreciate it if you would hurry though because I leave for job training on Monday and I need clothes for a week. Chop chop.

Dear twitter, our relationship is getting crazy. I have tweeted almost 2000 times and somehow I don't think thats normal or healthy. I mean sometimes I really just like to stalk my fav celebs (ie. Tori Spelling, Bethenny Frankel, and the Dance Moms.) I don't see us breaking up anytime soon so don't worry. It's only crazy thoughts... for now

Dear eligible men, if you are out there and you keep yourself groomed, in style and are willing to open doors for me and be punctual, please come find me. I really want to have a little boyfriend who adores me and treats me like the queen I am a princess! If you have a unibrow, wear holy jeans or are still rocking a bowl cut please don't bother. Sorry to be shallow, but this is 2012. Get it together. Also, you need to be willing to go on long shopping trips and tell me what looks good and what doesn't. No whining.
Basically, I guess I am looking for a gay man. That ought to work out really well when its time to have kids.........TMI?

Happy Friday to all my favs!!

It's OK Thursday...

Raise your hand if you think I have been the most horrible blogger you have ever known!

*Stands on tippy toes and raises hand*

Sorry, y'all, but my life has been so crazy lately with all this job stuff I have been trying to complete before I can start next week. I can't make any promises that I will blog a ton, but I do promise to make a point to keep you updated if you would like!

So let's get to it...

It's OK....
Its Ok Thursdays

that I have been a bad blogger because you all forgive me, yeah?

that I basked in the sun all last week and barely wore any sunscreen. Hey, I only got a little burnt the first day then I was good to go.

that I start my new job Tuesday and I am beyond terrified. I just wanna do well and achieve my goals.

that I just now received my diploma even though I graduated a month ago. Apparently, graduating college isn't a huge deal and they don't get in any hurry to get your diploma to you. I worked hard for that and I would have like it to come a little sooner!

that I may have pitched a little fit this morning in the car dealership when I went back to get some real rims put on it. I think customer service must be dead, but it makes me want to work that much harder at my job. And thanks to the sweet man who stepped up and helped me when no one else was, including the man who was supposed to be.

that Saturday is my last day of work at Monograms and More. It's been one crazy and exciting 2 years and I am so lucky to have been set up to do this incredible job and start the next chapter of my life. Thanks ladies, for everything.

that I have read all of Emily Giffin's book in less than 2 weeks and I am ready to pre-order her newest one coming out in July. She's amazing. Check her out.

that when I need to vent and be a completely irrational human being, I want others to just join in and NOT give me any rational answers. Ladies, you know what I am talking about. When you vent to men, they always seem to have to a good response and I wish for once they would understand that's not what we want in the moment, so just be irrational with us for 4 mins. Am I right or what ??

What are you OK with today? Go link up with Neely and share your thoughts!

All things stressful

Hola... in case YOU were unaware, that means hello in Spanish.

Now that you have been schooled a little for today, let's move on shall we?

Last time we talked, I was knee deep in car shopping, getting insurance straightened out and transitioning into my big girl job and mentality. I have since gotten a brand new car, whose name is Pearl and you will find out why a little further down, and put in my two weeks notice at my current job. Currently, all signs point to success for me as I begin this long and scary journey into adulthood.

Here she is. My new ride. She is easy on the eyes and the pocketbook. It only cost me $49 to fill er up the other day. No freakin way. My little explorer costs me a staggering $70 and tat was on a good day. I am mildy obsessed wit her color and everything she does. Her and I are going to be spending a lot of time together because my new job requires a ton of traveling. I ain't complaining yet, but gimme a few weeks. :)

It took me 2 weeks to decide on THE car for me. I don't do well with the whole decision making thing so I needed a good bit of help, which I received. I think that the biggest decisions should be taken seriously and should involve everyone that matters to you. I mean, buying a car is no joke. I would like to go on record now and say that I pray I never have to go through this again...at least not for a long long long long time. It was exhausting, but in the end,  I think I did pretty good. I love her!

WE got this baby for a steal. I love it and I don't wanna brag or nothing but I think we look right cute together.

I think I finally have everything I need to get started at my new job. Except a GPS, a fax machine, a printer, a bag to hold all of my junk.....well it looks like I need to work on more stuff huh? I can't understand why I am spending money before I even start working. #whatswrongwiththispicture

I leave in the morning for a glorious, much needed girls beach trip. I can't wait to get out of this town for a few days and relax with my best side kicks!!

I will post all about my trip once we arrive back in this God-forsaken lovely town!

Hope you all have a great week! I will post plenty of pictures to facebook, twitter and instagram until then to tide you all over and rub it in your faces. Just kidding...

Follow me on one or all 3 to stay in the loop. No pressure!

Adios, that's goodbye in Spanish in case you didn't already know! :)
