As most of you read this, I will be well into my last day at work. My little, tiny comfort zone and family that I have been a part of for almost 3 years. Monograms and More is what got me interested in the whole concept of sales. I have always been a people person, but it wasn't until I started working there that I realized just how much I do love interactions with different people and how much I love to sell.
Most of my followers know my personality just from reading my blog, so I think that sales is something that suits me, for now anyway. I may wake up 2 months from now and hate it and want to go back to school and do something in criminal justice, which was my plan until about a month ago.
I was offered a job as most of you know and the way I found out about the position was through my job at M&M. I wouldn't have known anything about it had we not gone to the mart one weekend and spoken to our rep from the company I will be working for in just 2 short days. I am nervous to leave my little world and comfort zone I have created, but I know it will be worth it. Scared doesn't even describe it!
I want to dedicate this post to the people who have helped me and encouraged me to pursue this career and to thank them, even though most of them never read my blog unless I post the link to Facebook. I forgive you! :)
Mrs. Connie- Working for you the last few years has been awesome! I would not be set up to go down the path that I am on without you and your help. Had we not gone to Atlanta that morning and talked to our rep, I wouldn't have found out about the job, I wouldn't have applied for the job and I most certainly wouldn't have gotten the job. I am forever grateful to you for giving me the push in the right direction. Since my mom passed away, you have been like my second mother. I had cried to you, complained to you and you have listened and been there every step of the way without fail. We have definitely had our share of fights, but we have made it through it even still. I can't thank you enough for giving me the chance to work for you and become a part of your family. You are truly a selfless person and I am thankful to have you in my life. Thank you for the graduation present! (for those of you who don't know, she took us on a all expense paid beach trip to SanDestin FLA!) I am forever indebted to you for helping me get to this point in one piece. I love you, Con-Con. And don't worry, even though I'm not there everyday I will still make it a point to stop by and crack jokes at your expense. I love you!
Ashley-(otherwise known as Alice for reasons we aren't sure of thanks to our boss and her mental state) I can't even imagine a better best friend in this world. You are the person I would love to be if I could be like anyone. You are mild, kind and just sweet all around. I won't ever be able to thank you for being a solid person to turn to in my life when things were bad. You always had/have my back and I appreciate it. I know that there will be times in the near future when I will call you and vent to you for hours and you will just listen and apologize just like you always do! You are one of the most genuine people I know and I am so proud that you are my "biffle." I know that your plans have been altered a little in the past few months, but I know that you will get back on the right track in no time and become the nurse you have always wanted to be. I will be there cheering you on every step of the way. Thank goodness I won't have bruises on me all the time from your hits. You seriously hit like a man. I dig it. Love you love you love you!
Lindsey- You are the first person I met even before I came to work at M&M. You and I were friends before I got the job and I couldn't even begin to thank you for helping me get the job. You put a little faith in me and you had only known me for a few months. You stuck your neck out for me not knowing what was going to happen and it meant more than you know. I look forward to talking to you because I know we agree on just about everything and I can always count on you to be irrational with me in times of distress. No matter what we are sharing- clothes, shoes, opinions and concerns, I know that you have my back. You are my best friend and my sister. I can't wait for you to start your new journey with me-only yours is gonna be way harder than mine will ever be. You are going to be a great mother to that sweet little GIRL and I can't wait to watch you with her. I know that you have waited for a while to become a mother. Some of us are just born to be moms and I think that you are. She is going to be lucky to have you as her mom to look up to. She is one lucky gal. Now that I will be making pretty good money, don't worry about the baby shower I am throwing you. It will be over the top just like me. I love you to pieces.
The Hannahs- I am grouping you two together because I haven't had the privilege of being so close to you for that long. I am leaving you both in charge of that store and I expect it to stay just as good and even better than it is now. Don't make me sorry I left!! :) I have all the faith in the world that you will be amazing girls and will keep the store in tact. Don't get discouraged and don't let certain people walk all over you at work...and outside of work for that matter. Never stop having fun at work! It really is the best job!
Hannah J- GO TO COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL. No matter what anyone else says, its what you want to do and I think you should do it. You are going to rock. My intentions are completely good, except I might want a little discount from you.. duh! Love you maxxanista!
Hannah S- WOW! I have watched you grow up a little bit and I think are you just awesome! Your laugh is infectious and it makes me smile even when things are crappy! I know that you are going to do great things in life whatever profession you choose! Just remember, don't let anyone talk you out of what YOU want to do! Always know that I am here for whatever you need! Keep those curly red locks in tact would ya!? Love you GF! :)
My parents and family- I couldn't have made it this far without you. You have been there from day one. I will always try to make you proud in whatever I do and never let you down. I can't believe that I made it thru college and graduated and have a job. I am a real working girl now. Look out world! :) I love you all more than you will ever know. I don't know where I would even be without the support and love. I can't count the number of times I hated you growing up for making me come home at curfew, taking away my car and cell phone when I got in trouble and for not getting me a new car like everyone else. I now look back and appreciate it all. I appreciate my old car that I drove all thru highschool and college. It makes me appreciate my new car so much more because I know I have earned it. I promise to always follow my heart and do what I know is best for me. I promise to never let you down and I promise to raise my own kids with the same morals and values as I was raised with. I love you forever!
If you have made it thru to the bottom of this blog post, thank you!!!! I have to thank you all too. All my followers and friends that I have made. Your words have humbled me to no end and I can't wait to share my experiences with you!!
You can collapse now.
