I'm not dead, I promise!

Well bloggers, its been a loonnngggg while since I have blogged (July 6 was the last post) and to be honest, I feel mucho terrible.

I have been studying hard and playing hardly any since the start of my last summer class after which I will receive a break...a whole 7 days before fall semester begins. It sucks but its well worth it so I just keep chuggin' along like a good little student.

I had my first test this past Thursday and I honestly can say that studied more than I have ever before. I began preparing for this test almost a week prior to it and if any of you know me, you know that I am somewhat of a procastinator, so a whole week is amazing and I should probably receive a medal of some sort.

Seriously.

So anywhooo, this weekend I decided to treat myself by taking the weekend off from studying because lucky for me, we are in between tests.

Friday, it was my sisters birthday. She is 41 and looking fabulous. We are 18 years apart so as she gets older every year, so do I. Major bummer. We just chilled out and had a small little family party complete with all the birthday staples. Party hats, cake, ice cream and of course presents. It was just a sweet, relaxing day to hang out and enjoy some laughs and "moments" that only a family can laugh about. So happy birthday once again to my ever fantastic sister.

Saturday, I worked for the first time since Monday. Yall, I love my job so much. I have an amazing boss, I get to work with my very best friends and I get to help people shop ALL DAY LONG. Duh, that has got to be any girls dream, right?! Well it was a pretty great day and we were busy so that's always good for business and to pass the time as well!

Afterwards, I went out with some of my girls (+1 that I just met yesterday) and had dinner, a little shoe shopping and a movie. ATTENTION: if any of my fellow readers have not seen Horrible Bosses ya need to get down to that matinee right now and catch it on the fly because holy moly that is one funny movie. Its definitely a roll that I am not used to see Jennifer Aniston playing, but she really isn't the star of the movie like I had originally thought!

Don't take the kids because its definitely an adult movie (hence the rating- R) and if you are not one who likes crude humor or cussing, I wouldn't recommend it. I myself am not really into that kind of thing either, but after hearing nothing but how funny it was, I decided to check it out. Boy oh boy was it funny!

Hilarious, actually. Like a 20 on a scale of 1-10!

I promise to be back on my blogging A-game this week (or at least I hope to) and bring my people what they want. Ha.

For me, its back to facebook stalking and putting off Spanish homework as long as humanly possible, studying Spanish and getting ready for Monday!

So What Wednesday..

Happy hump day to my people! I've been a terrible blogger lately. I started ANOTHER summer class yesterday at 8am. Yes, I'm crazy, but hey this girl is trying to graduate so she gotta do what she gotta do!

I'm gonna just go right into my topic for today {so what Wednesday} so here goes nothing...

So what if I have a mild addiction to buying accessories. (Purses, shoes, jewelry, etc.). Newsflash people:there are far worse things to be addicted to. I could buy crack... or meth. Not saying I ever would, but I could so lay off it.

So what if I watch trashy tv shows that I know full well that they are such before tuning in. And furthermore, so what if when I start watching them I can't stop. Ohh that reminds me, Toddlers and Tiaras comes on tonight. I know where I'll be at 10pm. Booyah.

So what if I drive until my gas light comes on and then only get $10 worth when I stop. My car, my money and my towing fee when I run out what day.

And lastly, so what if there'd mounds of Spanish homework just waiting for me right now. Its calling my name in Spanish and we all know I don't understand so I'll just keep ignoring it for a little longer.

What are you saying so what to this week? I'm dying to know.
Tomorrow is Thursday which means only one more day until Friday which means the weekenddddd.

America, its ya birthday.

Aren't y'all glad its Saturday? Aren't y'all glad you have a 3-day weekend? No work for three whole days! Yipeee.

But let's not forget WHY we have an extra day off. Happy Birthday, America! You're getting on up there in age and I swear, you don't look a day over 25. What's your beauty regimen? Ok ok! Seriously, its her birthday and we need not forget who continue to put themselves in danger for us to celebrate 3 day weekends and other freedoms we have. Our troops! Take time to thank them would ya?

Anywhoodie, I've been a huge bum this weekend. Who was hoping Lifetime would have some awesome movies on while I had nothing to do..? This girl. To my utter dismay...nuttin.
What have y'all been doing to celebrate? Tanning, parties, boat rides..? The norm for any Fourth of July celebration!

I have no big plans of my own. Maybe some family time and some poolside fun (minus fruity drinks that may contain alcoholic beverages). I plan on just relaxing and enjoying this SMALL break (if you can call it that) from school.

So peeps, enjoy your family and friends, good food, sunshine and a free day off but please remember why!
Ps. Sorry the posts this week have been hardly any fun. Promise to do better next week when I force myself to get out of the house and back to my life!

Raggedy Reunion

Happy Hump Day! Today is Wednesday and I know that most of you job haters are definitely glad. I mean, I know I would be! Stand on your tippy toes again and please see if you can see Friday peaking over yet. I kinda can! Yippee!

In regards to this post title, I am not exactly sure how to spell the word "raggedy," but I made up my own spelling, so deal with it! :)


Last night I had a huge little tiny reunion and to say that I was mildly excited is a super understatement. Pretty much the only people from highschool that I keep up with (girl wise and that I graduated with) are my two guhs, Cason and Jamie Lynn (more commonly known to us as JL). We always try to get together and have a little girl time and catch up. Since we are all three soooo busy, its harder these days but whenever we do its a fun time. We met up at a local restaurant downtown and had some pizza and maybe some adult beverages (and by adult beverages I mean sweet tea, yall!) We sat there for over two hours just catching up on each others life.

We also discussed a little plan for Thursday...karaoke aka the worst singing you will ever hear. JL seriously sounds like Britney Spears and so the only request I have is that she sing "Hit Me Baby One More Time!" Words on this blog post cannot express to yall how funny it is and how she sounds seriously just like her. Needless to say, its going to be the funniest thing yet this summer, I'm sure!

Ps. Cason recently started a blog herself so you should check hers out HERE. She also blogged about our night out last night. Duh!

I cannot wait to share with yall on Friday or this weekend about my first karaoke experience ever. I will TRY to take a few pics to share too. My attempt at putting a picture of my friends today was unsuccessful..computers man I tell ya!

Happy Monday blog people. What is up!? I know, I know. Its Monday and the start of another work week.  Maybe I am just extra chipper because I have been on "staycation" since last Monday...and even before that if you count the weekend. 

Anywhooos, I am awfully ready to go back to work but not so much go back to classes, even if this is my last week..of this particular class. You didn't really think that once this class was over, I was done until Fall did you? Only in my dreams...here I come Spanish II. 

So I was blog stalking as usually this weekend and I came across a new idea that I want to try maybe once or maybe every week. I guess we will just play it by ear and see how it goes. 

Lauren at Life with a lab posted this on her blog last week and I thought it was super cute and hers was hilarious! So Lauren, I hope you don't mind me stealing it and I hope my humor is as funny as yours was! You can check out her Dear...post here!

Dear weather Gods, it would be really nice if you could send some rain this way. G to the A is gettin a little too hot and dry for my taste. Unless you want me to spend my whole life in a pool, and lets be serious, no one wants that,  please hurry up because it is HAWT. Haven't you heard the song "Rain is a GOOD thing" No really, it is. Its super good. It makes corn and whiskey and...well nevermind. MAKE IT RAIN. Real rain...not money like the song talks about. ...Well wait, that wouldn't be half bad if it rained money. Ok Ok, if you make it rain money I will stop delay complaining about how hot it is at least until the money runs out.

Dear hair on my head, is it really necessary for you to have a bad day EVERY day? I mean seriously, I know everyone has a bad day once in a while, but this is just getting ridiculous. Could you please help a sista out once in a while and maybe, just MAYBE stay put and look cute for 8 hours? I don't ask for much from you, but this is important. I do all the work and all you have to do is sit there. Sounds like a pretty easy task to me, but hey, who am I to judge!?  And no, you can't keep using the "its raining" excuse. (see letter above)

Dear Lifetime, you and me go waaay back and I would like to think our relationship is strong, but I detest the fact that you rarely play movies anymore and if you do, they are all ones that I have seen before. What ever shall I do with myself on Sundays if there is nothing NEW to watch? There are plenty of scandals going on everywhere right now so its not like it would be {that hard} to make some new movie. Get some new material already or I am afraid I will have to break up with you and neither or us wants that. Also, please bring back Project Runway before I lose all purpose in my life. I need to practice my runway walk.

Staycation=burn

SOOOO, its FINALLY Thursday! See, you didn't all die of boredom this week. Tomorrow is the beginning of your weekend and fun! No more boring work...at least for 2 full days! Holllaaa!

If you read my last post, you all know that I got sunburnt on my "staycation." Today I opted to stay out of the sun and recover because I look like a lobster and if I get any more red, I will have to change my race...to whatever people are red. If you know what those people are (if any) please let me know because I need to make contact with them ASAP. 

Ahem...so anyways, I was trying to get to the point...sometimes it takes me a while. Don't judge me. 

I learned that when you are sunburnt, trying on clothes is NO kinda fun. I had to go to Walmart after pool day numero dos to get a few items (and by a few, I mean like $40 worth...ouch) So if I am at Walmart to get some necessary items, I might as well hop and skip on over to the clothing sections to see what I can find. (No hopping or skipping this time due to extremely sunburnt body) Notice I said WHAT I can find and not IF I find...this is because I can always find something cute there. This may or may not be a mild problem that requires therapy in the future.

SO of course, I found cute things and every girl knows you cannot buy something without trying it on. It can be the cutest thing you've ever seen on the rack but when you put it on you look like something out of a horror movie. *cue screaming*

So I found cute shorts, a dress, and a tank top I have been eyeballing for weeks. I slowly take my sunburned self into a dressing room. I know the people outside were thinking I was some kinda weird because I kept saying things like "Man, that hurts" or "Mama is sunburnT" (I am not a mama, I just like to say stupid stuff like that..thats weird right..? oh well) 

I got two pairs of shorts out of the deal. Wouldn't you know it..? The shirts and dresses I tried on that hurt soooo bad I didn't even get? Oh and instead of getting something that would showcase my new tanned shoulders, back and chest. I opted for something that would show my NASTY WHITE LEGS. 

Moral of the story people- always tan you legs. I kid.  Don't try on clothes when you are sunburnt. It will not end well for anyone! But seriously..always tan your legs!
